This is a precision Gonio stage that uses a cross roller guide for its travel guide and worm gear for its drive. This is an arc drive stage with a rotation center on the line vertical to the table center. It can be used in a variety of ways, such as to adjust optical pick-up or the fine angle of the test machine, to set the repetitive positioning movement, to correct the mounted status during the mounting process, to adjust the camera lens angle, as well as for production, line test, etc.
There is also a sine motion high precision Gonio stage which uses a ball screw instead of worm gear to move fine angles repetitively. The worm gear type may create backlash problems due to wear through repetitive movement, however, the ball screw type sine motion Gonio stage does not easily wear even during repetitive movements; and has enhanced durability. When mounting it, turn the knob behind the motor, and mount it on the forward/backward bolt. The sine motion Gonio stage has less friction resistance compared to the worm gear, and smooth movement and acceleration are achieved; also, by using preload parts for mechanical elements, zero-backlash can be achieved.
